Is a Dachshund the most ferocious dog pound-for-pound?

I had a miniature Dachshund named Tee-Tee and she was not afraid of anything. One day, the back gate was left open and a very large Pit Bull was walking down the back ally. My Tee-Tee took off after this Pit Bull and my heart sank. I thought I was going to see her get hurt for sure. To my amazement and amusement, this large Pit Bull tucked its tail and started yelping like he was being beaten with a bat. I was able to get my Dachshund back in the yard and she had no clue the danger that could have been.

It can be very hard to figure out what dog is the most ferocious one out there. Dachshunds, in particular, are not very large in size, so if you take them pound for pound that might mean they are quite ferocious. That being said, they are hunting animals and they know how to attack their prey very well. Whether they are extremely ferocious or not, that’s obviously up for debate. But it’s still pretty safe to say that they can be violent and ferocious at times.

That being said, you have to realize that no dog is inherently vicious. They need to be pushed towards the edge in order to become something like that. And you really need to figure out how everything works, how you can adapt everything and the results will surely be among some of the best out there all the time.

Most dogs have that wolf gene, and in some cases, it’s stronger than others. But it all comes down to how that gene was shared in the gene pool for your Dachshund. The reality is that some Dachshunds are ferocious and others are very cute and couldn’t hurt a fly. That’s because every dog is different. So having to share such information about a certain species is not exactly the best option. That’s because you never really know what happens here and how you need to handle this kind of stuff. True focus and commitment is everything here, so try to do that and you will be fine in the end.

Smaller dog breeds like the Dachshund are not exactly very ferocious or fierce in general. But as we mentioned earlier, some of these pets can be. It all comes down to the situation, from time to time things like this change and you don’t really know what happens and how to handle everything correctly. That’s why you need to force your perspective and actively push the boundaries to find the best approach that really works for you. Study the Dachshund without your personal feelings for him. See the interactions with other people and once you do those things should be easier for you. At least at that point, you really get to see what the Dachshund is doing, whether he is ferocious or not.

These are all important aspects of owning a Dachshund. You don’t have to worry that much about the Dachshund being extremely aggressive. Granted, some of them are like that, but most of them are very friendly and you will love having them around. Just try to be committed to making your dog comfortable and happy. Take him to the vet, make sure that his health is really good and it will be worth it. If you don’t pay attention to that the right way, the payoff will not be as good and obviously, it will be quite the issue. Use that as an advantage and make sure that you pay attention to your pet, regardless of his ferocity levels!
